Something feels different in Chicago lately. The headlines are loud, the group chats are exhausted, and everyone seems to be arguing about everything and nothing all at once. Immigration. Crime. Schools. Politics. But underneath it all, it’s not really about any of that. It’s about people and power.
Fear is the oldest trick in the book. It divides us, distracts us, and makes us forget how strong we are together. When community breaks down, control gets easier. And lately, it feels like we’ve all been living in survival mode—too busy, too tired, too online to actually see each other.
